A naive question perhaps - and apologies if I missed an earlier explanation - but could someone please explain why the Archive was showing 40,000 items on November 21 and now shows 35,720? What happened to over 4000 shows?

I believe it's because the GD shows now don't count in the LMA totals, since they have their own section.

You know I did wonder that myself, but the Grateful Dead are still listed under All Artists with Recordings in the LMA - and their 2827 archived shows aren't sufficient in themselves to explain the drop in numbers.

We were also counting each artists detail page as an item before, and that has been changed.

40,000
-2,800 GD
-2,200 Artist Pages

= 35k.
